Read This Before You Fly to Another Destination With Your Laptop

You may or may not know that I am a travel nurse in addition to writing novels. May 10th was stressful. I was headed to work in Boston. I pushed my driver's license through the scanner and pulled my mask down so the TSA employee could compare my license with my face. I moved to the next security checkpoint. I was told to place my computer and cellphone in a separate bin and push everything up to the automatic scanner belt. I did as told. I moved to the next security checkpoint. I stood inside the scanner with my hands above my head and my feet on the footprints. After I was scanned, I went to claim my valuables. My MacBook was gone, STOLEN off the SECURITY BELT after it left the scanner. The theft was captured on TSA video. They have the man's picture. The problem is no information is saved after you pass through the first security checkpoint to add your belongings to the scanner. The police took the picture and searched the airport for the man. They did not find him or my computer. The worst part of the whole ordeal was when the police and TSA said to me, "This happens all the time. People's wallets, purses, cellphones, and, laptops are stolen all the time." They said TSA is not responsible to replace stolen items. I filed a claim anyway. Although they can never replace what I lost on my laptop, I would like them to be held accountable for the loss of the Macbook. We are forced to place our items on these belts. I am sharing my horrible day so the next time you go through the security checkpoint you will never take your eyes off your valuables. Even when you are being scanned, watch the security belt. No one else is keeping your belongings safe. I have Locate my Mac engaged. The computer is offline, it won't locate until the computer is on WiFi. I don't believe I will ever get my Mac back. Share this with your family and friends so they will not lose something they value.

Book News

I love murder mystery thrillers. The more difficult the path to the killer, the better. You see, I don't want the investigation to be easy. I want a challenge throughout the entire story. Today, I have 32 novels for your browsing pleasure. Scroll through and see if one catches your eye. All the novels are on sale.
The Confession is on sale for 99 cents. All novels in The Marston Series are stand-alone stories.

The first book in the Kendra Carlisle series continues to make progress.
Kendra is closing in on saving her client; or is she?
Honestly, I never know how the book will end until the last twist.

Within days, a couple of weeks at most, the cicadas of Brood X will emerge after 17 years underground. We expect them to emerge in Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York (extinct or nearly so), Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C., so if you live in these states expect it to rain cicadas and hear the loudest buzzing you have ever heard.
